No driving cars without licence to Friday prayers for youth: Fatwa
It is not permissible for a young person who does not possess a driving licence to drive a car, even if s/he is going to perform Friday prayers, according to a fatwa issued by Abu Dhabi’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowment (GAIAE), Al Khaleej newspaper has reported.
The centre called on parents to be careful and not allow their children to drive cars without a driving licence.
The centre indicated that ends do not justify the means and that one’s drive is towards honesty and responsibility.
The centre stressed that regulations and laws developed to save and maintain lives is as per the principles of Islam - which are to protect and keep people away from harm and damage.
